and apply the knowledge, skills, and attitudes to develop healthy identities, manage emotions and achieve personal and collective goals, feel and show empathy for others, establish and maintain supportive relationships, and make responsible and caring decisions.<\/p><p>At EAR, our Social &amp; Emotional Learning curriculum is designed around the CASEL Social &amp; Emotional Learning Framework. We have used this framework to develop units for each of the CASEL 5 competencies (Self-Awareness, Self Management, Responsible Decision Making, Relationship Skills, and Social Awareness). This framework takes a systemic approach that emphasizes the importance of establishing equitable learning environments and coordinating practices across key settings of classrooms, schools, families, and communities to enhance all students\u2019 social, emotional, and academic learning.<\/p><p>At EAR, we strive to coordinate our work on social and emotional learning to foster youth voice, agency, and engagement; establish supportive classroom and school climates as well as approaches to discipline; enhance adult SEL competence, and establish an authentic family and community partnerships.
